Senseless Violence
Hello,Today is more serious day as I ponder all the innocent people who have lost their lives over non sense. People close to me and people I have never met have died because of the second decisions of others. As lives are forever changed and people are laid to rest what can be gained from this? I have no idea for now I am thinking out loud. The value of life has been so diminished it is sad, escpecially in the African American communtity. Yes I am for the slogan "365 Black" but are we doing the civil rights movements any justice? At one point in history people had values and were proud and united for causes of the common man, but today where is the fire as a race to continue to force themeselves forward? There are so many things that alarm me such as the limited amount of leadership in community, role models for future generations and pride in self. As the leaders continue to age and die will the leadeship die with them?
Some may wonder how did jump from one point to the next... So I will tell you. If African Americans still had leadership and family and direction the seneseless would probally not occure. We are killing ourselves because no one is taking the responsiblity to educate the masses, brotherhood and sisterhood do not exist even among the masses, we are killing each other over colors and streets we do not own and leaving the next generation in shambles. Life has no value because no one said it did! I have no idea where will go from here but something has to change!!
